Michael John is the inventor and Co-founder of Gemstx. Originally an aspiring physicist, his early passion for understanding the universe led him to explore new avenues when conventional paths no longer resonated with his inner drive. Driven by a desire to transform challenges into opportunities, he conceived the innovative idea behind Gemstx—a breakthrough in creating solventless rosin extraction technology.

Michael’s journey was marked by a willingness to leave behind the familiar in favor of forging a new, uncharted path. His inventive spirit not only redefined how extracts are produced but also set the foundation for a company that thrives on creativity and forward-thinking. Although he has stepped away from day-to-day operations, his pioneering vision remains a vital part of Gemstx’s identity, continuing to guide the company as it evolves.

I have been enjoying the benefits of extracts for over 50 years. I was asked to help a family member obtain RSO oil for their cancer, which introduced me to the world of medical marijuana, oil manufacturing, and assisting other businesses in getting started. I even traveled to China to establish business contacts. My longtime friend Michael John proposed designing a machine capable of producing rosin without solvents.

Over the years, Michael John, Carlos Wolters, and I have worked together to shape GEMSTX into what it is today.

My hope is that people will use this machine not only for herbs or medicine but also for extracting essences from coffee, chamomile, nuts, or other oils for perfumes or tinctures. I view GEMSTX as a versatile utility tool.

By applying Bach Flower principles while experimenting with solventless oils, GEMSTX empowers you to create your own medicines directly from plants; however, without the proper knowledge, this power remains untapped. Therefore, I encourage you to experiment and learn about the medicinal and culinary potential of plants.
